Around the World – Remixes is a collaborative electronic release produced and arranged by Scott Lawrence (SLM), reimagining the voice of acclaimed Seattle jazz vocalist Stephanie Porter as a soulful, dancefloor-driven track.

What began as a classic jazz ballad has been transformed into an emotive, club-ready journey—featuring two signature remixes, instrumental versions, and extended DJ edits. This 6-track EP explores universal themes of love, longing, and connection across genres and continents.

The vocal chorus is made up entirely of wordless “Ahhh” harmonies — no lyrics, just raw emotion.
It’s meant to feel like a universal cry: part grief, part longing, part release.
A soulful exhale for the state of the world… and a call for love without borders.
That unspoken cry connects every mix — whether it’s the uplifting house version or the deep, late-night cut.

🎧 About the Producer

Scott Lawrence (SLM) is a Seattle-based composer, producer, and remixer known for creating lush, emotionally driven electronic music. With a background in cinematic piano and digital orchestration, Scott’s work blends melody, movement, and deep groove. He composed, arranged, and produced all six tracks on this release, crafting a sonic world that bridges classic vocal storytelling with modern club energy.

Stephanie Porter is a celebrated jazz singer with over 25 years of performance experience in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Known for her rich, soulful tone and magnetic stage presence, she’s released multiple albums and earned praise for her unique blend of classic swing, soul, and vocal jazz.
